Commissioned by Oil India Limited to the Nanda Talukdar Foundation, this project documented the impact of OIL’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives through the lives and experiences of the communities they touched. The Foundation brought together a group of photographers to create this visual record, of which I was a contributing photographer.

The resulting coffee table book, OIL, brings together stories of resilience, empowerment and progress through photography and storytelling. Documenting initiatives including Jeevika, Swabalamban, Ujjwala and Super 30, the book offers a glimpse into the people, aspirations and transformations behind OIL’s work.
